Ok, what this website all about? Well I wanted a platform for my work as a personal chef. I wanted a space my clients can come to and easily plan their meals for the week. Then I thought, why stop there…
My name is Chantal. You’ll find me mostly with a book in hand if not its surely a spatula, paint brush, shovel, pool cue, or something of the sort.I spend my life torn between academics and creative outlets. I love to learn and utilize the skills and knowledge I have.
I have spent my whole life cooking and baking, crafting and building stuff, cleaning and organizing. I was raised with seven siblings, two saint bernards, eleven cats and a couple llamas in the beautiful sierra foothills of California.
I have always enjoyed using my hands to cultivate and create things right from home. After trying a few odd jobs at a young age I thought, why am I working for a corporation when my heart is in the home.
I have worked for years in other peoples homes completing tasks including, helping with kids, deep organizing, and turning groceries into meals on the table week by week.
This website is a place that I want to share what I do. In the past I have resisted from social media and blogging, steering away from platforms that would involve pictures of every meal or some sort of running commentary of my personal life. This was in attempt to basically try to limit my hipster/millennial/ego indulgences to a minimum. However, that’s not really what this kind of thing is about.
Overall, I want to inspire others, show you what is attainable in your own home with a little motivation. That being said, I’m here to help so that may be for hire, tutorials/lessons, or just ideas. I want to acknowledge that being motivated is always where someone is at, also acknowledge not everyone enjoys doing the things I do. I want to encourage people to use what their hands and what they have in their homes to create beautiful and/or delicious things. And if you would like to use your time elsewhere, I can help free some of that up!
